Integral drill rodA drill rod product commonly used for small-diameter shallow hole rock drilling. Usually made of 19mm, 22mm, and 25mm hexagonal hollow steel. When drilling blastholes of different depths, a drill rod group consisting of several drill rods with different drill head diameters and different lengths of rod bodies is required for rock drilling. In Europe, Australia, South Africa, South America and other countries, integral drill rods are often used for rock drilling during secondary blasting and tunnel mining in open-pit rock fields.Integral drill rods are rarely used in mines and engineering projects in my country. Most integral drill rods produced by drill tool factories are used for export, and the drill head shape is mainly in the shape of a straight line; sometimes a part of cross-shaped or ball-toothed drill head integral drill rods are also produced, but the number is very small.The integral drill has the characteristics of fast drilling speed, good energy transfer effect during use, and no limit on the lower limit of the drill head diameter. However, the key lies in the matching of the life of the drill rod and the drill head, that is, when the diameter of the drill head is worn to the limit diameter, the drill rod must also reach the service life limit. In addition, the price of the integral drill is relatively high. Although some domestic drill tool factories have the conditions to produce this kind of drill tool, they still need to make more efforts to promote its use in large quantities in the domestic market.2. Cone-connected drill rodThis product is one of the drill tool products with the largest output in China at present, and it is also a rock drilling drill tool used in large quantities in domestic underground mines and construction projects.Compared with the integral drill, there is energy loss at the cone connection of the cone-connected drill rod. According to the information, the energy loss of the impact stress wave after one round trip in the rod body is about 5% higher for the conical drill than for the integral drill. At the same time, the cone connection part of the drill rod is the weak link in the drill tool group. If it is improperly processed or used, it will increase the destructiveness of the drill tool.However, a cone-connected drill rod can be equipped with multiple drill bits to drill holes of different diameters; the drill rod will not be scrapped after the drill bit is worn, and the maintenance is simple and the price is low; the drill tool consumption cost per meter of footage is low, etc. According to statistics, the annual production of cone-connected drill rods in my country's drill tool industry is about 6 million m (3.03kg/m-B22).The production of cone-connected drill rods in my country is carried out in accordance with the current GB/T6481-94 standard, and the product type is mainly B22mm hexagonal drill rods. Domestic production enterprises and scientific research institutions have conducted a series of research on cone-connected drill rods since the 1970s. Great progress has been made in materials, forging technology, equipment, heat treatment, working load mechanism, and damage analysis. In the 1990s, the market demand for this type of rock drilling tool was basically saturated.
